GS Engineering & Construction and The GEAR Sign MOU to Drive Open Innovation and Cross-Border Technology Collaboration

SINGAPORE, December 4, 2025 – GS Engineering & Construction Corp. (GS E&C) and The GEAR by Kajima Pte Ltd. (The GEAR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on open innovation initiatives that promote technology development and cross-border cooperation in the built environment sector.

Under the MOU, GS E&C and The GEAR will jointly identify and pursue opportunities to connect and support cooperation among startups, industry partners, and research institutions. The partnership will support the co-development of proof-of-concept projects, technology demonstrations, and knowledge exchange activities aimed at advancing digital, sustainable, productive, and safe practices in the built environment.

The partnership between GS E&C and The GEAR first took shape through “Urban Innovation Convergence 2025”, a co-hosted event which brought together industry leaders, innovators, and investors to exchange insights and ideas. This joint initiative explored real-world innovation challenges, new construction methods, and collaboration opportunities, which set the stage for the formal MOU signing.
