Now in its second year, the prize honours outstanding student innovators who are bold in their pursuit of innovation with an entrepreneurial mindset and who make a meaningful, measurable difference in their communities or teams. This year’s recipients, Kirby Teo and Nicholas Chen, impressed the judging panel with their forward-thinking projects and a clear commitment to inspiring the next wave of student entrepreneurs.

The GEAR Built Environment Prize at LKYGBPC: Accelerating Startup Commercialisation

SINGAPORE, October 2, 2025 – Mimicrete was announced as the winner of The GEAR Built Environment Accelerated Commercialisation Prize, introduced as part of the LKYGBPC at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University. The winning team will now begin the exciting next step as official members of The GEAR Startup CoLab programme (CoLab), working with The GEAR to explore a proof-of-concept (PoC) supported by in-kind resources, guidance, and mentorship from Kajima’s business units and ecosystem partners.
